While Nintendo is rightfully getting a lot of the credit for the success of the Switch and the likely success of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, it’s fair to note that they had a lot of help in bringing everything together. First and foremost, they had their game developers, who made all the incredible titles that made the Switch a success. Then, they had their hardware partners who brought key elements to the console to ensure it ran as desired. One such crew was the team at NVIDIA, which made the processors for both the Switch and the Switch 2.
In a special “Creator’s Voice” video, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang broke down what it’s been like to work with Nintendo on its two consoles, and how the late Mr. Iwata was the inspiration for the partnership. Huang further details how the Nintendo Switch 2 process is incredibly different from the last system, allowing creators to do more, while also giving rich graphics for gamers to enjoy.
