With only 9 days left until the Switch 2 launch, it’s getting pretty tense out in the gaming space. People are still trying to convince others not to get the console because of perceived controversies, and then, there are those who are simply struggling to ensure they’ll get the console on Day 1. Those people might be tempted to trust “non-standard methods” of getting the system, which could lead them to getting scammed. The good news is that Nintendo has your back on this. The company revealed on its corporate site that it’ll crack down on false listings trying to scam people.
Furthermore, the teams listed below will do their best to prevent scalping and take down any listings that violate certain rules.
Nintendo announced they are working with Mercari, Yahoo Japan and Rakuten to prevent fraudulent listings of Nintendo products including Switch 2. They'll proactively remove listings and establish a system for sharing information with Nintendo.www.nintendo.co.jp/corporate/re…

Based on the information, it appears that this only applies to Japan, for now, but we could easily see this go to the UK, the US, and other major territories so that nothing untoward happens at launch.
In the meantime, be smart about where you try to be the Switch 2 and its accessories. It’s better to wait for an official place to get one, versus being scammed for trying to get one quickly.
