It’s always a good day when something important happens that can make lots of people smile. In this case, we’re talking about the opening of Nintendo San Francisco out in California! This store opening has been teased for a while, but today, it finally opened. To celebrate, Nintendo dropped a special video showcasing not only the San Fran store, but also the one in New York City and the three in Japan, just to show how far things have progressed. You can check it out below:
Introducing Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO! We’re officially open on the corner of Powell Street and Geary Street in Union Square.

As the tweet notes, there is a restriction on who can enter the store in its opening weeks, but that’s just to ensure that things don’t get overloaded right off the bat.
There are many who hope that the Nintendo San Francisco store is the start of other stores opening in other key US cities. I’d personally love to go to one in Chicago! Oh, and if you’re wondering if the store will have Nintendo Switch 2 systems on the console’s launch date, I have no idea.
