Nintendo Is Launching Animal Crossing Crocs!

Tom Nook had a hand in this, didn't he?
By Todd BlackJuly 8, 2025
Animal Crossing, Nintendo

One of the best things about Nintendo as a company is that you can never truly predict them. Case in point, right now, the Switch 2 has been out for a month, and we haven’t had a sales update, nor do we know when the next Direct will be to showcase the titles that are coming to the system soon. Instead, what they HAVE announced is that they’re going to do a special clothing crossover featuring Animal Crossing…and Crocs! Yes, this is a real thing, and they even made an official announcement about it on their website. Here’s a statement from it:

Crocs, a global leader in innovative casual footwear for women, men, and children, is launching a special collaboration with Nintendo.

Animal Crossing lets players enjoy a relaxing, slow-paced life while interacting with a cast of unique animal characters. Since its debut in 2001, the games have been enjoyed by millions of players worldwide becoming a cherished title for fans of all ages. Now, for the first time ever, Crocs is partnering with Nintendo to debut a special collection launching Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

This new collection features elements inspired by the lush, natural setting from the game. From the green tone that represents the land to the sole and strap inspired by the sea, see if you can discover all the Animal Crossing moments throughout the design of the shoe.

If you’re curious, yes, they will have sizes for both adults and children. You can even move around the “charms” that are on the Crocs so that they better suit your style.

If these are a hit, you can bet Nintendo will do more of this in the future.
