New Weekly Newsletter Anime by the Numbers Launches

By Josh PiedraMarch 19, 2025

White Box Entertainment LLC, North America’s leading strategy, marketing, and intelligence agency for anime and manga, today released the first edition of its weekly newsletter on Substack, Anime by the Numbers. The company’s insights and analytics, already trusted by many of the biggest publishers and producers in the industry, will now be able to help inform and engage those who want to be on the cutting edge of one of the entertainment industry’s fastest-growing segments.

“Anime has never been more popular, but there aren’t enough resources for people who are interested in the business perspective,” says Miles Atherton, White Box founder and CEO. “We’ve been asked in focus groups and panels time and time again to share our behind-the-scenes POV, and are excited for Anime by the Numbers to provide that perspective alongside the great work from Richardson Handjaja (Animenomics) and Jerome Mazandarani (Anime News Network).”

Anime by the Numbers will feature regular segments on the state of the industry from White Box Entertainment’s team, including CEO Miles Atherton, Director of Research Chloe Catoya, Director of Marketing Malu Arantes, and entertainment analyst Klaudia Amenábar. Anime by the Numbers is produced and edited by Klaudia Amenábar with support from Catoya and Arantes.
