The Mario Party franchise has a special meaning to me, mainly because I used to play the first three entries a lot with my friends back when I was younger. I eventually grew out of the series, but it was nice to see it rebound incredibly well on the Nintendo Switch system. In fact, one of the last big games for the OG Switch was Super Mario Party Jamboree, which released last year. I reviewed it for The Outerhaven and had a lot of fun with it. So, imagine my surprise when they announced an enhanced “Switch 2 edition” that would drop this July?
Today, a new trailer for Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV dropped, and it heavily breaks down everything that you can do in the upgraded game. We’ve already seen some of this, like the Bowser Live segments, but we also get new insights into the mini-games that are available, and the new mode called “Carnival Coaster!” All in all, the game looks to be a true expansion on what the original had. Plus, if you already have the original, like me, you can buy the new content via the upgrade pack once you have a Switch 2.
The game drops in its upgraded form on July 24th.
