Rockstar Drops Amazing Looking Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer

The gaming world has been waiting over a decade for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI). Initially expected to launch later in 2025, developer Rockstar Games recently announced a slight delay, pushing the release into 2026.

Thankfully, just a few days after the delay announcement, they decided to bless the gaming community with a brand-new trailer for GTA VI.

You can watch the trailer for yourself below:

If you’ve seen the trailer, you’ll notice that it focuses on a character named Jason Duvall, unlike the first trailer, which primarily highlighted Lucia, who also makes another appearance. With this trailer placing more emphasis on Jason and both characters featuring prominently in the GTA 6 key art, I think it’s safe to say that the rumor about players taking on the roles of two characters is almost certainly true, although we have yet to receive official confirmation from Rockstar Games.

Unfortunately, there’s still no definitive gameplay footage in this trailer, but everything appears to be in-engine, and I must say, it looks visually stunning. My partner watched the trailer with me and even remarked, “I thought that was real,” just seconds into it.

If you’re eagle-eyed (or simply read YouTube descriptions), you may have noticed that Rockstar Games is inviting players to explore Vice City and beyond. As expected, it sounds like the world of GTA VI will be much bigger than Vice City itself. Of course, just how expansive it will be remains to be seen.

However, if you can’t wait for more information on Grand Theft Auto VI, I’d recommend heading over to Rockstar Games’ website, where they’ve started to reveal more details about some of the game’s characters.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on May 26, 2026, for Xbox Series S/X and PS5.

Jordan has been playing games since the age of six. This ignited a passion which initially led him towards game development before trying his hand in the realm of games media, starting in 2022. It turns out he's quite good at it, even if he doesn't always believe in himself. Now, just a few short years later, not only is Jordan a valued member of our staff here at The Outerhaven, but he also co-owns and helps to run Analog Stick Gaming.
