Neverness to Everness (NTE) is returning for another round of beta testing in early 2026, with the prior beta test being a massive success back during July 2025. So Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio are giving it another go with the upcoming Co-Ex Test. Registrations are now live via the game’s official website and will remain open until January 24, 2026.
So, what exactly is the Co-Ex Test? Well, other than a weird way of saying a beta test, this time around players will be able to play with several new systems and features compared to prior test phases. Among the most notable additions are two large-scale Anomaly Dungeons, The Bank and The Hospital. These locations are designed around cooperative multiplayer and require players to work together to navigate the environments and complete encounters tied to the game’s supernatural elements.
A new prison mechanic is also being added. Players who are arrested in the city will experience a full in-game prison day, which includes structured activities such as solitary confinement, outdoor time, and the possibility of attempting an escape. The system is intended to introduce longer-term consequences for player actions within the open world.

The test further expands urban gameplay options across the city of Hethereau. New activities include fishing, taking taxi rides, racing, playing Mahjong, and working part-time jobs such as coffee shop shifts. Each activity provides its own rewards and is designed to deepen the sense of daily life within the city. Additional outfit options are also being introduced for the protagonist and main characters, featuring minimalist urban designs that reflect the game’s modern setting.
So, if you missed out last time, be sure to register so you can see why everyone keeps bringing up NTE when they’re talking about upcoming games that they can’t wait to try out.
What is Neverness to Everness?
Oh, right. I sort of glazed over that part. Neverness to Everness is an online RPG set in the city of Hethereau, a seamless open world built using Unreal Engine 5. The game blends supernatural investigation with urban exploration, following episodic storylines that mix comedy and drama. Outside of the main narrative, players can take part in a variety of side activities, including collecting and racing sports cars, purchasing and customizing city residences, and operating businesses.
Honestly, it sort of reminds me of that “Free Guy” movie, and that’s pretty interesting and sounds like fun.
Neverness to Everness is currently in development for iOS and Android mobile devices, and PC.
