Neil Druckmann Isn’t Concerned About Intergalactic Hate: “You Just Have to Ignore It and Stick to Your Guns”

Neil Druckmann Responds to Hate Against Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Neil Druckmann, the creative mind behind Naughty Dog, has shared his thoughts on the hate directed at their upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. He believes the best way to deal with such negativity is simply to ignore it. According to Druckmann, getting caught up in these situations can only drain your energy for no good reason.

The game’s reveal trailer sparked a lot of toxic comments and controversy, mostly criticizing the game for featuring a black female protagonist.

In a recent interview, he said, “I don’t know if there’s much I could add to that conversation, to be honest. There’s stuff happening with media right now that you just have to ignore for the most part, just stick to your guns, and do what you believe in. And I feel like that’s how I want artists to carry themselves.”

Druckmann went on to express his excitement about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, saying, “I can just say I’m very, very excited for this game, maybe as excited as I’ve been for any game. It’s very cool, it’s the deepest gameplay we’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to show it off.”
