NCSoft’s Bufftoon to Cease Operations

It was announced by NCSoft that Bufftoon, the webtoon company that NCSoft owns as a subsidiary, is shutting down after twelve years of service. The platform is scheduled to shut down on December 17, 2025.

Coin purchases have already been suspended as of May 14. In addition, free coins will no longer be given out. The ability to use coins on the platform will be suspended on June 30, 2025.

Any unused coins will be refunded along with any purchased webtoon, comic, and web novel titles. Details surrounding the refunds will be announced on May 21, 2025.
