The situation surrounding Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is honestly a unique one. It was first announced in 2017, wasn’t talked about again until 2024, and while many felt it would be the “last big Nintendo Switch” game, it’s actually coming out to BOTH the Switch and the Switch 2. In fact, those who have gotten their hands on the Switch 2 version state that it’s the definitive version you should play. Regardless, Nintendo has been doing better with showing off the upcoming title, and that includes teasing the first boss fight.
In the clip you can see below, Samus and the Federation soldiers are attempting to protect an artifact from the space pirates when the pirates unleash Aberax. The problem? The moment it arrives, it gets infected by a Metroid, which powers it up even further. Thus, the first boss fight begins! Check out the clip below:

Of course, the crux of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond is that the game will eventually take Samus Aran to an all-new world, one where she gets special psychic powers and has to deal with all-new threats. The game is scheduled to release later this year.
