Ever since Konami released its remake of classic Metal Gear Solid title, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the gaming community has been in an uproar, due to the number of bugs and performance of the game across the board, especially the PC version, which has been locked at either 30/60FPS.

However, Konami has been paying attention and has recently mentioned via Twitter, that it this received multiple reports and are working on a patch to address them.

While the post was in Japanese, this is what was mentioned by Konami.

Currently, we have received multiple reports of bugs in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER.
We are investigating the causes of these issues and are currently working on a patch to address them. Once preparations are complete, updates will be distributed sequentially. When the patch is ready, we will provide a further announcement.

Known Issues

  • After securing food through continuous attacks with the Survival Knife, under certain conditions, attempting another attack with the Survival Knife may cause the game to forcibly terminate.
  • While equipped with the Crocodile Cap, under certain conditions, removing it from the Survival Viewer may cause the game to forcibly terminate.
  • If a crocodile with an empty stomach is present, obtaining food under certain conditions may cause the game to forcibly terminate.
  • When the player rolls from a log into a box, under certain conditions the player may float in midair.
  • When the player switches to the Intruder Camera in specific locations, character movement may be restricted under certain conditions.
  • Under certain conditions, the game may forcibly terminate during radio conversations.

We are currently investigating the causes of these issues, but it is expected that resolving them will take a little more time.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our players.

We appreciate your continued support of METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER.

While it’s good to see that Konami will be doing its part to address the bugs and technical issues, there was no mention of the performance, but one can hope that when they say “bugs” that the performance is also being investigated.

Meannwhile, if you’re playing the game on PC, there are several helpful mods over on Nexusmods, that do everything from increasing performance, introducing ultrawide monitor support, addressing the camera and uncapping the framerate. It might be worth your time to check them out.

Check out our review of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is currently available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
