Singer/songwriter mekakushe’s song “Yuwanamerou,” which was used in Episode 10 of the TV anime series Kowloon Generic Romance, was released online on June 8.
Kowloon Generic Romance is a hugely popular mystery-romance anime based on Jun Mayuzuki (of After the Rain fame)’s latest work, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies.
Following the ending theme “Retronym of Love” and the Episode 7 insert song “Watashi Dake no Polaris,” this marks the third mekakushe track featured in the series.
“Yuwanamerou” was written and composed by mekakushe, with arrangement by Ryohei Sataka (Hifumi, inc.), who also handled the series’ score. The result is a wistful pop song that delicately expresses the complexity of a woman’s hidden emotions.
