There are many legends of the industry who deserve to get special praise heaped onto them for all they have done for both gaming and the gamers who enjoy the titles that have been made. But easily in the upper echelons of hallowed names must be Masahiro Sakurai. Aside from being the creator of the beloved character Kirby, he’s the man behind the greatness that is Super Smash Bros, and turning it into the best-selling fight game franchise ever. Then, he went to YouTube to educate us via his “Creating Games” channel to highlight his philosophies on game design and how things should be handled.
His legend has already been cemented, and yet, today, it was revealed by Famitsu that he’s now getting his life story told in manga form! You can check out the details in the tweet below:

Personally, I love everything about this, and I hope that it gets an English version so that other gamers can read and enjoy the visual version of Sakurai’s life. Masahiro Sakurai truly is a beacon for all game developers, both past, present, and future, to look up to, and so I have a feeling this manga will do really well once it’s released.
