Wolverine, Magick, and Danger Join Team Unbreakable X-Men in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls

By Kevin KellyFebruary 13, 2026

As many predicted, Marvel Tōkon went for another reveal for the first official team of the game during the PlayStation State of Play yesterday. As stated before, the 20-man roster will consist of many different Marvel characters.

We’ve seen mostly Doctor Doom, Storm, Captain America, Star Lord, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and Ms. Marvel, thus far. No official teams have been made as of yet with the characters until now.

To Storm, Unbreakable X-Men

One of Marvel’s first families has taken to team form in Marvel Tōkon. Wolverine, Storm, Danger, and Magick, will be the roster of the “Unbreakable X-Men”. Danger seems to be the newest one from a lore standpoint hailing from the Shi’ar Empire. The world seems to be decimated with even the Gladiator taking a beating by an unknown force. It’s also headed for Earth, which prompts Storm and the other X-Men to assemble for defense.

The newest one, Danger, at first sounded as though Arc System Works was making the Danger Room’s AI into a sentient being. The Danger Room is a training simulator that the X-Men use to hone their skills, but over time it becomes self-sentient and eventually created a body. It’s a whole thing in the comics (Astonishing X-Men 2005). She seems to have range to her with beam moves and potential satellites projectiles.

Wolverine’s been a star of any Marvel fighting game, so his appearance here is definitely needed. Personally, he’s always been who I’ve looked forward to adding to my teams. Arc System Works also got Steve Blum to step in for his English voiceover. Not Steve’s first run at the character, so it’s good to hear him, too. Wolverine also seems to possess armor-based claw moves to press attacks harder than ever before.

Longtime member of the X-Men, Magick, seems to be an close range fighter so far, too. The swordswoman is swinging hard in this trailer with ways to teleport her opponent around. It’s good to see her here, too, since she’s been in a few more games these days.

From the look of things, Captain America, Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, and Ghost Rider, will be heading up the other teams from the 20 base. As to who else will join theirs remains to be seen especially with whom is left. There is a prediction that this could have an Avengers, Villains, Street Level, and Midnight Suns, style teams respectively if these are the “leaders”.

Launch Date Revealed

Marvel Tōkon will launch on August 6th on PlayStation 5 and Steam. The Ultimate Edition was also announced with several bonuses. There will be Animated Chromatic colors for 20 characters.  There are 5 costumes in tow so far:

  • Spider-Man Advanced Suit 2.0 Costume
  • Punk Rock Storm Costume
  • Classic Iron Man Costume
  • Captain America Classic Costume
  • Doctor Doom Supreme Ruler Costume

There will also be avatar bonuses for the lobbies including the Infinity Gauntlet and Howard The Duck.

The DLC roster will be an annual run with 4 characters and a stage. The game had already promised a decade of support, so there is a potential of 40 additional characters to come. In 2036, we’ll get a Marvel vs Capcom 2 challenger from Tokon’s size. Whether these will also be teams remains to be seen.

The Marvel Tōkon preorders start on February 19th, 2026.
