Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Playable at Evo USA 2025

Arc System Works will be stopping by Evo USA 2025 to give fans a glimpse into what they’re thinking with more Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls news. The 4 vs. 4 tag fighter will be playable at the major fighting game event. There will be a panel on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PT.

Game Designer Kazuto “Pachi” Sekine is pretty excited and had this to say to the fans.

This is Sekine, Director of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. I’d like to express our thanks on behalf of the entire development team for the incredible response to the State of Play trailer. The game is still under development, but we’re really looking forward to sharing more in our Evo panel, and especially for fans to try it out for themselves with the very first trial version at the event. My hope is to “Assemble” with all of the players and create an amazing game together. We’re trying out many new things to offer a fresh experience. I can’t wait to hear your feedback and thoughts.”

More screens have been revealed, giving us a better look at the Character Select, Stage Select, and the in-battle HUD. One of the biggest takeaways is the presence of a single health bar per team, which is a notable departure from traditional tag-based fighting games.

Interestingly, each character appears to have a specific designation within their team: Leader, Shooter, Vertical, and Assault. What roles these titles play during gameplay remains to be seen, but they add an intriguing layer of strategy.

The familiar super meter is here too, marked with a 150 indicator and seemingly divided into segments. A secondary gauge—possibly a stun meter—is also present and similarly split up, suggesting some deeper mechanics at play.

And yes, we’re back in New York City, a classic battleground for the Marvel universe. Though this time, Shuma-Gorath apparently thinks he runs the joint.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was revealed not too long ago for the PlayStation State of Play. The Tag Fighter has gained intrigue ever since. This is not the Marvel vs Capcom game we expected.
