MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Demo Smashes Into Steam Next Fest

Marvel Cosmic Invasion Demo on Steam

Publisher Dotemu and Tribute Games have officially launched the public demo of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion as part of Steam Next Fest, giving fans their first chance to experience the new arcade-style tag-team brawler.

The demo itself offers two playable stages: the bustling streets of New York City and an intense battle aboard the Helicarrier. Players can choose from nine heroes, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, She-Hulk, Storm, Venom, Nova, Phyla-Vell, Rocket Raccoon, and Captain America. The game features both local and online co-op play, and it’s fully compatible with Steam Deck, letting players bring the action on the go.

At the heart of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion lies the battle against Annihilus, the immortal Super Villain who has launched a cosmic-scale assault across the galaxy. Players select a team of two heroes and can swap between them in mid-combat using the Cosmic Swap system, combining powers and chaining attacks for devastating results.

Coming off the success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, which sold millions and earned critical acclaim, Dotemu and Tribute Games are once again pushing the boundaries of the beat ’em up genre. With its mix of nostalgic energy, cooperative play, and modern tag-team mechanics, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion looks to deliver a new brawler worthy of the Marvel name.

We had the chance to play MARVEL Cosmic Invasion during Summer Game Fest 2025, and while it was only a short hands-on, we enjoyed what we played. The action felt fluid, the tag mechanics stood out, and the roster already gave a strong taste of the fan-favorite personalities players will be able to unleash.

And while we have this demo, there still hasn’t been any mention on when Marvel Cosmic Invasion will be released.
