With 2026 now in full swing, gamers will be looking forward to all manner of new games that you’ll have access to across various consoles and PC. For Nintendo Switch 2 gamers, there will be plenty of exclusives for them to enjoy as the console’s “first full calendar year” rolls on. The first of which will be Mario Tennis Fever, which got a huge overview trailer breaking down everything you can look forward to in the new game!
For example, one of the “hooks” of the game is the “Fever Rackets,” which are specialized rackets that will be up a charge so you can unleash special abilities on the court. There are 30 in the game, and each one has a special power, such as freezing the court, making a double to help you on your side, summoning enemies, and more! Plus, if you time it right, you can redirect the effect of the Fever Racket back at the sender!
Just as important as the rackets, though, is the roster. There are 38 characters in the game, which is a record for the franchise. Oh, and if you want to “feel like you’re on the court,” you can use your Joy-Con 2s to swing your arms like you actually have the racket in your hands!
Add that to a list of fast-paced game modes to try, online play and leaders, and more, and you’ll be on the court for some time.
