Mario Kart World Had Over 300 People Working On It!

We demand to know how many races they played together!

Mario Kart World Review

No matter the size of the video game, it always matters who is working on the title. If you have the right team, you can make just about anything shine. When Mario Kart World was announced, we knew that Nintendo wouldn’t pull any punches with its developments, as it would be the launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2. Sure enough, both the Switch 2 and the game were huge successes. We don’t know the sales figures for the title just yet, but it’s loosely been confirmed that it’s well over 1 million, if not way higher.

However, today, we’re talking about the dev team itself, as it was revealed that over 300 people worked on the title, and not just from The Big N itself:

Mario Kart World had a development team of over 300. 22 game designers, 86 programmers and 192 artists. Monolith Soft (30 people), Bandai Namco (31 people) and 1-UP Studio (24 people) also pitched in.This game was a big collaborative effort.automaton-media.com/en/news/mari…

This is not unlike what happened with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which had massive dev teams to try and ensure that everything worked smoothly. If you want our thoughts on the game and how well the dev team did, check out our Mario Kart World review!
