Manga Planet

Manga Planet is happy to announce the print releases of Be My Buddy by Nayuta Nago and Even If You Close Your Eyes, You Can See The Light by Maki Marukido through the futekiya imprint.

The new print editions are now open for pre-order via Kinokuniya USA’s online store, and will be available for early-bird sale exclusively at Fanime Con 2025 (San Jose, California) from May 23th to 26th.

Be My Buddy by Nayuta Nago

Which normal is more important to me?

As a yakuza boss’s grandson, Takanari hardly has a normal high school life. His grandfather’s subordinates greet him every morning, his childhood friend, Ayano, lives with him as his personal attendant, and his family expects him to take over the family business after he graduates.

While Takanari yearns for normalcy and resists his presumed future, he enjoys living with Ayano and imagines keeping him by his side… until his grandfather throws down an ultimatum that risks separating Takanari from Ayano. Will Takanari give up his hopes for a normal life or kiss his days with Ayano goodbye?

Price: $12.99 USD

Even If You Close Your Eyes, You Can See The Light by Maki Marukido

As a veteran adult film star, Jin Inohara takes on any job and sleeps with any partner. This time, he finds himself paired with up-and-coming actor Hikaru for Cherry Bonbon, a new video series exclusively made for women.

Yet, despite their intimacy on screen, Jin and Hikaru know close to nothing about each other’s private lives… That is until they realize they live in the same apartment building!

Can their relationship stay strictly professional as they spend more time together off-screen and their pasts come back to bite them?

This volume includes Maki Marukido’s debut work, Wednesday Morning, 3:30 A.M.

Price: $13.99 USD

Manga Planet recently released Chika Hongo’s City Lights Birthday at Sakura Con 2025. These titles, along with other futekiya and Manga Planet print editions, will be made available for purchase after Fanime Con.
