It’s finally official. We can cut it with all the rumors, Magic: The Gathering is teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Today at a special New York Comic Con panel, Wizards of the Coast and Nickelodeon revealed Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), a new Universes Beyond set launching globally on March 6, 2026. The announcement brings decades of Turtle Power into the world’s premier collectible card game, uniting Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and their full cast of allies and villains in a crossover that feels like a long time coming.

For those who grew up watching the heroes in a half shell battle the Foot Clan, this set promises plenty of nostalgia while introducing the next generation of fans to both Magic and TMNT.

The TMNT franchise has thrived for nearly four decades, spanning comics, animation, live-action films, and toy lines. With Magic: The Gathering | TMNT, Wizards of the Coast is celebrating that legacy by merging it with one of the most creative and strategic games ever made.

Whether you are a fan of Kevin Eastman’s gritty black-and-white comic art or fell in love with the colorful animated series, this set has something for everyone. It pulls from every era of TMNT history, from the classic Mirage comics to modern Nickelodeon shows, and introduces new mechanics and artwork that highlight the franchise’s humor, teamwork, and pizza-loving spirit.

During the New York Comic Con panel, fans received a first look at cards, mechanics, and products coming in the set, including:

  • Villains of the TMNT Universe: Shredder and the Foot Clan, Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady make their Magic debut.
  • Turtle Allies: April O’Neil, Casey Jones, and Master Splinter join the fray as playable cards.
  • Showcase Scene Cards: Multiple cards combine to form a panoramic comic-book scene for collectors.
  • Turtle Power! Commander Decks: Interchangeable Commander decks themed around each Turtle.
  • Exclusive Pizza Bundle: Six classic Magic cards reimagined with pizza-themed artwork for a true slice of flavor.

  • Borderless Source Material Cards: Classic Magic cards reinterpreted with art pulled from the TMNT archives.
  • Turtle Team Up: A new two-to-four player co-op experience that lets players form their own hero squad.
  • Borderless Pixel Cards: Video game-inspired pixel versions of Commander deck cards, with art by Kirokaze.
  • New Gameplay Options: Including a new Pick-Two Draft mode.
  • Full-Art Pizza Basic Lands: Each basic land features pizza toppings, one for every color of mana.

Wizards of the Coast is going all in on fan service and creativity with this collaboration. Between Kevin Eastman’s artwork, pizza lands, and TMNT’s full rogues’ gallery, Magic: The Gathering | TMNT is set to be one of the most collectible Universes Beyond releases yet.
