I’ve been looking forward to Mafia: The Old Country and earlier today that anticipation grew slightly with the reveal of the PC Spec requirements across the games’ social media accounts. So, will you be able to run Mafia: The Old Country at your desired resolution and framerate? This chart will help you figure that out.
At first glance, these requirements don’t look too bad, but they do give me a slight concern. You might be wondering why? Well, take a closer look and all the requirements rely on upscaling technology. I have no issue with upscaling but I really hope there is an option to turn it off for those of us with high-end PCs.
I will say I’m glad to see Mafia: The Old Country supporting Ultra-Wide monitors at launch, something that many games still fail to do. While I personally don’t use an Ultra-Wide myself but PC gaming is all about options and that one is sure to make our Editor-in-Chief Keith Mitchell very happy.
I would have loved to see more details on the Accessibility Options, it’s nice to see this specifically pointed out. However, a bigger spotlight with more information on exactly what will be available would be extremely helpful. So, 2K if you’re reading this it would be great to have more details if possible please. At present it’s far to vague to help anyone who might need specific options be confident as to whether they will be able to play the game or not.
As you can see from the release timings above Mafia: The Old Country does launch several hours earlier on PC than it does on Console. Those playing on console might be wondering what about performance? After some initially rumours claimed that the game would only run at 30fps on consoles, Hanger13 and 2K have now confirmed on social media that PS5 and Xbox Series X will have both Quality and Performance modes, with performance mode averaging at 60fps.

I haven’t been able to find any specific mention of the Xbox Series S version, so that could be capped at 30fps but as soon as it’s confirmed we will share it with you.
