The follow-up to Lords of the Fallen, Lords of the Fallen II, was first revealed in the summer of 2025. We then got our first real glimpse of gameplay during The Game Awards in December 2025. Now, CI Games is pulling back the curtain even further.
The publisher has released a massive 40-minute-deep dive that showcases extended gameplay, major design changes, and developers openly discussing what they are building and why they are excited about it. If you have been waiting for a proper breakdown of what is new and what is evolving, this is it.
If you have been looking forward to a deeper dive into Lords of the Fallen II, this video delivers. One of the best parts is seeing the developers genuinely geek out about their work. That kind of energy tends to translate into the final product.
Watch the full deep dive here:
This sequel is shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and far more brutal than its predecessor. Combat looks faster and more fluid, with a new dismemberment system that allows enemies to be torn apart limb by limb. There are also all-new execution animations designed to finish encounters in spectacular fashion.
Enemy variety appears significantly expanded, and the boss encounters look far more ambitious this time around. Whether you prefer to tackle the game solo or through shared progression co-op, there will be options. PvP is also officially on the table, something fans were extremely vocal about wanting after the first game launched without it.
When Lords of the Fallen originally released, it had its share of rough edges. That said, I genuinely enjoyed it. CI Games turned things around in a meaningful way post-launch. Combat felt satisfying, the interconnected world was massive and atmospheric, and the Umbral mechanic was a clever twist on the Soulslike formula that helped the game stand out.
From what we are seeing so far, Lords of the Fallen II looks like a confident evolution of that foundation. Set 1,000 years after the original, it appears ready to push the world and its mechanics even further. And honestly, I am excited to dive back in.
