It was announced that Miyata Toshiya’s Kyoukai no Melody light novel series will receive a television anime adaptation!
As of now, no further information is known about the staff, studio, or premiere date; however, the cast from the Drama CD will return to reprise their roles for the anime. The cast includes:
- Kent Itou as Kyousuke Tsumuraki
- Daisuke Sakuma as Kai Amano
- Yuuma Uchida as Takeshi
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Makoto
- Souma Saitou as Minoru
- Miyata: Narrator
The story of Kyoukai no Melody is described as follows:
Coming-of-Age Youth Drama LN by Miyata Toshiya, LAM about a musician boy who was about to go pro but suddenly stoppped doing music completely after his close friend passed away in an accident. Three years later the mourning boy is suddenly visited by his friend’s spirit. “You may be alive, but doing nothing at all is basically the same as being dead”, he is told bluntly. But their newly found time together isn’t meant for eternity.
