The three actors from Kakao Entertainment – Jeon Do-yeon (Management SOOP,) Kim Go-eun and Park Hae-soo (BH Entertainment) are mesmerizing global audiences in the Netflix series “The Price of Confession.” Premiering on Dec. 5, the mystery thriller claimed the No. 2 spot on Netflix’s global Top 10 chart for non-English shows. It follows Yoon-soo (Jeon,) a woman accused of killing her husband who is offered a way out by a mysterious stranger Mo-eun (Kim.) In exchange for a confession in her place, Yoon-soo must commit murder. Meanwhile, Dong-hun (Park) is a prosecutor who digs into the secrets of these two women. The series zooms in on how Yoon-soo’s life is shattered following the murder accusation and how she is approached by Mo-eun, an enigmatic “witch.” With Dong-hun relentlessly attempting to unravel their hidden secrets, a series of unexpected events unfolds, drawing viewers into a tense game of suspense.
Park Seo-jun (awesome.ent) has been stealing the hearts of global audiences with his new JTBC drama, “Surely Tomorrow,” following its release on Dec. 6. The series, also available on Prime Video, is a romance/melodrama centering on Lee Gyeong-do (Park) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an.) Having broken up after dating twice in their 20s, the pair encounter each other again — this time as a journalist who reports a cheating scandal and the wife of the scandal’s protagonist — and they rekindle their romance. Park is earning praise for his nuanced portrayal of Lee Gyeong-do, an entertainment journalist who appears cold-hearted on the outside but still carries lingering feelings for his first love.
