KADOKAWA Seeks to Acquire Edizioni BD/J-Pop Manga

KADOKAWA has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Edizioni BD (aka J-Pop Manga), an Italian manga and light novel publisher, to acquire 70% of its shares. Under the deal, Edizioni BD will become a subsidiary of KADOKAWA.

Based in Milan, Italy, KADOKAWA seeks to use Edizioni BD to translate and publish manga, light novels, and other related titles, and expand its footprint throughout Europe. Currently, Edizioni BD publishes around 500 different light novel and manga titles in Italian.
