IVE Makes Triumphant Return to Lollapalooza

By Josh PiedraJuly 14, 2025

Tens of thousands of festivalgoers singing along in Korean at one of Germany’s most iconic landmarks ― this rare scene came to life during Lollapalooza Berlin held at Olympiastadion & Olympiapark Berlin, when IVE took the stage with its song “After LIKE” on July 12 (local time.) IVE, the first K-pop girl group to join this festival, ignited the crowd with a riveting 55-minute set, delivering a full live band performance that reaffirmed its status as a global festival act.

The extravaganza kicked off with “REBEL HEART,” as the group took the Telekom main stage to thunderous cheers. After commanding the stage with a high note-filled performance of “I AM,” it kept the momentum going with “Baddie,” which immediately went viral thanks to member Wonyoung’s deep-toned rap, and “TKO,” which captured attention for its powerful choreography that Gaeul helped craft. It was a key moment for IVE, marking its first-ever time festival performance of “TKO.”

Showcasing IVE’s diverse musical palette, the members followed up with their smash-hits “LOVE DIVE” and “You Wanna Cry.” The former highlighted IVE’s vibrant energy, while the latter shed light on the group’s emotional vocal depth. Next, IVE showed scenes from the music video for “ATTITUDE” before taking the stage with the track. Liz’s soaring high notes and the group’s choreography during the now-viral “Guinea Pig” segment sparked an outpouring of excitement from the audience, elevating the festive mood to its peak.

“Kitsch,” radiated IVE’s confidence, while its English single “Supernova Love” fostered deeper interaction with the festivalgoers. As the show neared its end, IVE delivered an intense, breathless run of hits including “Accendio,” “ELEVEN,” “HEYA,” “All Night” and “After LIKE,” showing no signs of fatigue. A crowning moment came when the crowd sang along to “After LIKE” in Korean ― an emotional highlight that marked a grand finale to the performance.

“We were truly happy and overwhelmed thanks to the enthusiastic cheers and singalongs from DIVE (IVE’s official fan club) and the audience, who stayed with us until the very end despite the rain that started before our performance,” IVE said through its agency, Starship Entertainment. “We sincerely want to express our gratitude not only to those at the venue, but also to the global DIVEs who watched and cheered us on through the livestream. We are also deeply thankful to the staff and band members for working so hard to help us proudly present our music and performances once again at Lollapalooza. Let’s do our best again for Lollapalooza Paris next week!”

It has taken about a year since IVE last appeared at Lollapalooza, following its breakthrough performance in Chicago. In Berlin, the group solidified its presence as a powerhouse festival act, with each member showcasing strong live vocals and blending seamlessly with the live band while balancing detail, power, and dynamic stage presence. Simply put, Lollapalooza Berlin encapsulated IVE’s musical growth and its message rooted in self-respect, confidence and individuality. The group has incorporated these elements into songs, performances and stagecraft, elevating its shows while forging a close connection with audiences.

Keeping its victories rolling, IVE is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza Paris on July 20, held at the Paris Longchamp Racecourse. With this feat, IVE will become the first K-pop girl group to participate in Lollapalooza three times.

Lollapalooza is one of the world’s four music festivals that serves as a barometer for global music trends. Taking place in the U.S., Germany, France, Chile and Brazil, among others, it is a dream stage for artists who combine musical prowess with global influence. IVE’s consistent appearances at this festival demonstrate that popularity or trends alone do not define the group ― IVE has positioned itself as a powerhouse act known for standout performance skills and undeniable artistry. Performing live in front of tens of thousands of festivalgoers demands exceptional vocal ability, eye-catching stage production and the talent to engage and energize the audience. IVE excels in all these areas and goes even further, exhibiting a powerful stage presence filled with energy and emotion.
