Indie World Showcase Dropping Thursday

By Todd BlackAugust 5, 2025
Indie World

I’m sure that some of you are still “reeling” from the fact that last week we got a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase instead of a true Direct. However, it’s inevitable that another 1st-party Direct will happen this year; it’s just a matter of waiting for it to show up. Nintendo is once again doing things “at its own pace,” and that was shown once again today when they revealed that an Indie World showcase will happen on Thursday. The showcase will focus on both Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 indie games and will be about 15 minutes.

Join us this Thursday, August 7 at 6am PT for a new #IndieWorld Showcase! Tune in for roughly 15 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

While it’s unclear what will be shown, these Indie World presentations will highlight all manner of indie games for people to enjoy. So, if you’re up for checking it out or just want to see what indie games you can get next, you’ll want to stay tuned!
