INDIE Live Expo Showcased More Than 100 Games, Partnership with BitSummit Announced

INDIE Live Expo, the global indie showcase with more than 100 million views since 2020, returned this past weekend with over 100 world premieres, fresh trailers, and major announcements from developers across the world.

The showcase opened with several notable premieres.

Shuhei Miyazawa (Raindrop Sprinters), Studio Pixel (Cave Story+), and room6 unveiled Avemary Rocket – Captain Patchwork, a 2D scrolling adventure launching on PC via Steam in 2026.

Korean developer Vittgen introduced All Adrift, an illustrative adventure game also arriving on Steam in 2026. Developer Ichthys and publisher CRITICAL REFLEX announced a December playtest for the souls-like Metroidvania Being and Becoming.

Pixelated Milk confirmed a January 2026 playtest for its supernatural pixel art JRPG SacriFire, while Wild Dog highlighted the upcoming 2.0 content update for Keep Digging, set to arrive this winter. Pajama Llama Games’ aquatic colony sim Flotsam launches into version 1.0 on PC via Steam on Dec. 4, 2025. Pugstorm’s hit sandbox adventure Core Keeper lands on Nintendo Switch 2 on Jan. 28, 2026.

Additional reveals included:

  • TSURUGIHIME, a hack-and-slash roguelike from 213℉, targeting Early Access in 2026.
  • Dead Format, Katanalevy’s 1990s-inspired psych horror title, arriving on PC via Steam on Dec. 10, 2025.
  • SANABI, WONDER POTION’s acclaimed action platformer, which debuted free DLC on PC via Steam on Nov. 27 and will launch on Nintendo Switch this winter.
  • A horror-themed teaser from developer RexLabo, published by PARCO GAMES, previewing a new title releasing in 2026.

2P Games, publisher of this year’s grand prize winner Sultan’s Game, supported several fellow indies during a dedicated showcase featuring:

  • Atomstring Games’ 3D metroidvanias Kotama and Academy Citadel, in development for PC via Steam.
  • WarmCore Studio’s top-down looter shooter R.I.P. – Reincarnation Insurance Program, set for Steam Early Access.
  • Bone Nail’s magical farming sim The Piper of Dawn, coming to PC via Steam in the first half of 2026.
  • The Weeping Swan: Ten Days of the City’s Fall, a historical 2D visual novel and standalone sequel to The Hungry Lamb, arriving in the first half of 2026 courtesy of ZerocreationGame and 2P Games.

INDIE Live Expo celebrated this year’s award recipients: Sultan’s Game, The NOexistenceN of you AND me, No, I’m not a Human, Promise Mascot Agency, Word Game, Escape From Duckov, Demonic Mahjong, BALL x PIT, and Öoo.

BitSummit Partnership Announced

The event also revealed a new partnership between INDIE Live Expo and BitSummit, one of Japan’s largest indie game festivals. More details will be shared at a later date.

Both this year’s award winners and the games revealed throughout this weekend’s showcase reflect the creativity and passion driving the indie scene,” said Ryuta Konuma, Founder and CEO of Ryu’s Office. “We are grateful to our sponsors, media partners, and the millions of fans who continue to support us.”

Steam Sale and Replays

Fans can try select titles highlighted during the showcase at a discount during the INDIE Live Expo Steam Sale, running now through Dec. 6, 2025.
