How to Skip Time in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

By Chris PenwellFebruary 18, 2025

Skipping time in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can help you engage quests at a specific moment or help you access towns more quietly. It’s fairly easy to begin the process, thankfully, similar to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and other open-world RPGs of its type. Here’s how to do it.

You can pass time in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

How to Pass Time in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

If you’re using a controller with a console, you can pass time very easily. To do so on the PS5, use the touchpad on the DualSense controller, the view button on the Xbox controller, or the “T” button on the keyboard. Then, you can alter the amount of time that passes with the left or right analog stick. Keep in mind, however, that your character’s hunger and sleep will be affected. Make sure you have a plan on where to sleep and what to eat before passing time in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Is It Easier To Steal At Night?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 makes it easier to sneak around the dark in villages, but the guards will notice that you don’t have a torch equipped. Because of the game’s harder-than-necessary controls, it might help to know you can use a torch by holding down on the D-Pad. The guards will also question your movements way more than normal during the day. One guard in Troskowitz even investigates your actions and pats you down for anything suspicious. They take their job way too seriously.

Visit the merchant to get food in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Where to Buy Food

You can get food by visiting the local merchants in the villages and towns you visit. In Troskowitz, for example, the local merchant is in the building to the west. There’s a blue sign outside with a hand holding scales in front of the merchant’s shop. Once you’ve talked to the merchant at the counter, you’re in the menu. Use the right shoulder button to change the tab to the “Food” section of the shop. You can buy items like Smoked cheese, Dried chicken, and Smoked mutton. You can also get a Weak Saviour Schnapps to save.

The Game Has Performed Well

Despite its confusing game design at points, the game has been a major success for the developer. It has recovered its development cost in just one day with over one million copies sold.
