After much anticipation, Grounded 2 was finally released last week, and the title already appears to be another survival hit for Obsidian Entertainment. The sequel offers an even bigger adventure, with more quests and even greater complexity than the first entry. Many players have been struggling with the Incoming Transmission mission, which sends them searching for the Communications Array.
The Communications Array becomes important when you reach the Ranger Station Outpost. As you arrive, you’ll immediately see a room with the incoming transmission, but a glass door blocks your path. If you’re thinking about breaking or smashing the glass, the game won’t allow it, leaving many players frustrated and wondering how to get inside.
Communications Array in Grounded 2
No need for confusion—this guide will walk you through exactly how to reach the Communications Array without getting lost. It’s worth mentioning that the only way to get inside is by finding the alternate entrance, which isn’t obvious when you first arrive at the outpost.
First, exit the Ranger Station Outpost to find another way in. Afterward, just follow your quest marker. Head left from the exit point into the grassy field area, where you’ll find several plants. Keep following the marker, and soon you’ll spot a cave entrance next to a muddy pool.
It’s important to note that the cave is pitch black inside, so you’ll need a torch to see anything. Even if you forget to bring one, don’t worry—the game will remind you to craft one during the mission. While gathering torch materials, you can also collect some Grass Seeds, which are useful for crafting other items.
Another thing to note is that the cave is filled with mites, so be ready for combat. Once inside, keep heading straight. After a short walk, check your left for a piece of Raw Science you won’t want to miss. Keep moving forward, and you’ll eventually spot a bright light coming from an opening on your left—that’s where you need to go.
Follow the light, and soon you’ll reach a room with access to the Communications Array. This can easily be entered through the broken glass window. Once inside, you can finally talk to the NPC over the communications system.
Additionally, if you brought Grape Seeds with you, as mentioned earlier, you can upgrade your Omni-Tool with them.
