If you thought you had seen everything Absolum had to offer, think again. Hidden within its world lies Hagen the Spectral Doom, a massive decaying dragon waiting for someone bold enough to disturb his rest. The steps to summon this secret boss are not obvious, but once you know what to do, it is simple to pull off.
How to Find Hagen the Spectral Doom in Absolum
Step 1: After choosing your character and leaving the hub area, select the uppermost path that leads to the beach.
Step 2: Continue forward until you reach an area filled with the bones and carcass of a massive dragon. It may not appear on the first or second beach segment, but keep exploring and it will show up.
Step 3: Defeat every enemy in this section. Stay until you have earned your reward and the stage transition prompt appears.
Step 4: Head to the uppermost part of the area where the ocean water flows into a river. Open your gestures menu. On a controller, hold the inventory button which is the left bumper on the Xbox, PlayStation and Switch controllers.
Step 5: With the gesture menu open, select the downward or thumbs down gesture.
Doing this will awaken Hagen the Spectral Doom, a furious dragon spirit who is not happy about being woken up after who knows how many centuries. Defeat him to claim some impressive loot for your trouble.
This is one more secret Dotemu tucked into Absolum, and it makes me wonder how much more is still waiting to be discovered.
