Grand Blue Dreaming Gets 3rd Anime Season

Following the completion of its second season, the production team behind Grand Blue Dreaming officially announced that a third season is in development. The third season will begin by adapting the Palau arc, which begins with volume 13 of the manga.

A teaser visual has also been released, which can be viewed below.

Following the announcement, manga illustrator Kimitake Yoshioka unveiled a special illustration.

The first season aired in the Summer of 2018 and received an 8.44 score on My Anime List. Following a seven-year wait, the second season aired in the Summer of 2025 and received an 8.65 score.

The manga by Kenji Inoue and Yoshioka will release its 25th volume next month. Kodansha USA is releasing the series in English. The series has more than eight million copies in circulation.

It was also revealed that the second season will receive a special Blu-ray in Japan.
