During today’s Indie Quest showcase, there were a number of reveals and world premieres. The first one right off the bat was a game called Full Circle. Done by solo-developer 2ndPlayerGames and Publisher Deck13 Spotlight. It is a 2.5HD Indie JRPG based on classics of the PlayStation 1 era of the genre.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where mutated beasts roam the planet, where gruesome monsters are threatening everything and everyone, humanity has found shelter and security in flying cities. And yet, the time has come for a return to the surface. Young heroes are raised with a single purpose: brave the wilds and keep humanity’s last refuge alive. But when a mission beyond the walls reveals survivors, rival cities and secrets no one prepared them for, everything they believed in seems to fall apart.
My first thought while watching combat was how similar the action aspect of the game was to Legend of Dragoon. It replicated the system perfectly from what the trailer showed. So, it is no surprise that the developer 2ndPlayerGames said it was inspired by Legend of Dragoon and the Final Fantasy games on the PS1.
