Fire Emblem Path of Radiance Arrives on Nintendo Switch Online

...and on Nintendo Music!
By Todd BlackJanuary 8, 2026
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Nintendo Switch Online

Last year, Nintendo Switch Online announced that it was adding Nintendo GameCube titles to its Expansion Pack, ensuring that even more games would come to the online service over time. One of those titles announced for future release was Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, the classic strategy-RPG that brought gamers to the land of Tellius and introduced them to MY favorite video game character of all time, Ike. Today, the wait ended, as the game is now available for NSO users! Here’s a synopsis for the game from Nintendo:

“This installment of the classic strategy role-playing series Fire Emblem was released for the Nintendo GameCube system in 2005. Fully-voiced cutscenes and 3D maps accompany the return of the brutal battle system where your units are gone for good if they fall in a fight!

On the continent of Tellius, two races (the human beorc and the half-human laguz) have built a history of strife, mistrust, and compromise. Now, sinister forces emerge from the shadows to pit the two groups against each other. Follow the protagonist Ike and a colorful cast of characters as this grand drama unfolds around them. Dark days are rising…

As if all of that isn’t enough, it was also confirmed that the game’s entire soundtrack was added to Nintendo Music!

Legit, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance is one of my favorite games ever. I used to play it on repeat on my GameCube, and I’ll definitely get Nintendo Switch Online so I can enjoy this once more. Plus, this game will likely also get you hyped for Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, which will release later this year!
