SNK has released an anime launch trailer for Nightmare Geese‘s return to South Town for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves to celebrate his launch, today. Masami Obari of Mobile Suit Gundam and Fatal Fury fame back at the helm. With Rock as the central point, he confronts the ghost of South Town’s past; his own father in spirit form.
The 6-minute short draws comparisons to Geese and Terry’s “final” bout in which Geese had lost and fell to his bitter end. Anime legend Richard Epcar voices Geese in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
The animation also goes into Terry and Andy’s motivation to defeat the emperor. Jeff Bogard, the father of the two brothers, takes a mortal hit to end his life. Geese walks away with the two brothers swearing revenge. Surprisingly, Andy’s confrontation with Geese has yet to be explored further.
This is Rock’s second go-around animation wise since King of Fighters: Another Day. The Production I.G. classic followed the PlayStation 2 King of Fighters Maximum Impact story and held the same vein plot wise for the protagonist. The feeling given by the current Geese short is reminiscent of this. Obari’s teasers and shorts seem to give more lore to the game and adds to the mini-series with Krauser, Chun-Li, Ken, and others, already done.
Patch 1.8.0

The Street Fighter VI EOST progress is also separate, but the skills, such as REV Parry and REV Impact, given can be used in the original mode. Preecha and Rock Crossover costumes will be available.
Other improvements come from patch version 1.8.0, which even fixes a known Preecha replay data issue. Tizoc, Vox Reaper, Preecha, and B. Jenet, are the only affected characters, in this cut, with minor fixes.
Nightmare Geese Gets The Test Drive
SNK has released some developer fights against the tyrant through the likes of Mai, Rock, and Terry. Other fights around the interweb include high level sets from Mikado and GO1 and others from Wolf FGC.
If you’re on time, Justin Wong could be still playing with him now in his live stream at the time of this writing. Lots of fight data in store for those looking to get inspired or even stocking up for tournaments to come.
Geese is the second character in the Season 2 DLC with more characters to come in such a short window. Kim Jae Hoon was released last month. Fatal Fury 3’s Blue Mary, and Fatal Fury 2’s Krauser will be the 3rd and 4th known characters to come.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
