Extended Gameplay from Tides of Annihilation

We got our first look at the hack-and-slash title, Tides of Annihilation, from Chinese developer Eclipse Glow Games, during the February 2025 PlayStation State of Play, and it has certainly captured some eyes. Ours especially, as we had no idea that this game even existed and the short taste that we got during the State of Play simply wasn’t enough.

Thankfully, some extended gameplay footage that showcases one of the boss fights has been released on the PlayStation YouTube channel.

Check out the footage below.

Tides of Annihilation is a hack-and-slash game with an interesting combat system, that reminds me of titles such as Devil May Cry, Nier: Automata, and Stellar Blade, which sounds like a fantastic mix as someone who enjoyed all of those games.

According to Eclipse Glow Games, Tides of Annihilation takes place in the reimagined London location and a Medieval Fantasy Realm, interconnected locations, along with some demi-gods, giant structures, lots of interesting designed enemies, and a whole lot more.

While we don’t know when Tides of Annihilation will be released, we do know that it will be available on the PS5, as well as the Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
