Cyberpunk Edgerunners showed the world that there were more stories to tell from the series and Guilty Gear Strive ended up being a part of it. Arc System Works unveiled Lucy’s gameplay as she is whisked away from Night City to a world of Gears and magic, banning certain technology from the world after hundreds of years. Technology isn’t totally banned for her.
Hacking opponents is something that Lucy can actually do, similar to V’s ability within the Cyberpunk 2077 game. Each hack duration is indicated the same way as Lucy can mow down her prey. More on this when the guide appears. Lucy seems to be mostly close to mid-range with her attacks via the monofilament wires. According to the Anime Expo interviews, Lucy will have a longer arcade mode and some Cyberpunk 2077 and Edgerunners collaboration items.
Lucy ends the Season 4 roadmap for Guilty Gear Strive, which started with Queen Dizzy and continued with Venom and Urika. Lucy’s launch date is August 21st.
More Daredevils Will Rock 2.0
Eagle eye viewers, at Evo USA 2025, found out that there will be two returning characters for Guilty Gear Strive Season 5 already confirmed in a sense. Jam and Robo-Ky’s outlines have been noted by social media to be the next two characters to be brought into Guilty Gear Strive. The 2.0 trailer was shown at Evo USA 2025, which gave us hints as to who is next. Of course, there is definitely the hacking that we will not discuss, but this is probably the biggest hint from Arc directly. No word has yet been given on when the new season will start next year.
Guilty Gear Strive is available for PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
