Bandai Namco has released the gameplay trailer for Miary Zo – the newest character in the Tekken 8: King of the Iron Fist saga. Miary Zo was teased earlier at Evo USA 2025 this year, so it was fitting for Namco to bring about the next character to to make their move after Armor King has been released. And during the Evo France 2025 tournament, too.
Mairy Zo’s fighting style includes some wall bounces and mostly punches from the feel of her kit. She is able to command a pole in order to dodge or add more versatility to her kit. It feels like a mostly high hit affair so far. The wall bounces can be used for recovery, too. Miary does look formidable enough to run with the Tekken 8 folks so far.
Miary Zo seems to have a connection to another fighting god similar to Ogre – who so happens to make a few cameos in this trailer. Zo may seem to extend Tekken’s lore as a possible avatar to this diety.
Ogre’s True form does have snakes. According to the official page, Miary Zo is the vassel of the Silver Fighting God. Then again, it could be Ogre because of his snakes and Miary Zo’s ability to summon snakes for some of his homage moves.
As for the Evo France crowd, according to Legacy of Kaiser, they wanted to see more at first when the trailer was cut because of a break. Katsuhiro Harada, producer of Tekken, stepped on stage and got the team to continue the show.
Miary Zo will be coming into Tekken 8 as of December 1st for Early Access with December 4th as her official launch time. She will be joining Clive, Anna, Fahkumram, and Armor King, as the new warrior. Baobab Horizon will also be available, too.
