C. Viper Returns in Street Fighter 6 Reveal at Evo USA 2025

By Kevin KellyAugust 4, 2025

Capcom dropped a trailer for C. Viper in Street Fighter VI during the final moments of Evo USA 2025, and the Super Spy Mom is back with a vengeance.

First introduced in Street Fighter IV, her debut stirred speculation around whether she worked for the CIA or Shadaloo. In the anime The Tides That Bind, she fought against Ryu, Cammy, and Chun-Li under Seth’s orders and even clashed with Cammy during her mission in SFIV. Since then, she’s only had minor appearances in Street Fighter V and also showed up in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

This time around, Viper is aligned with an organization called SiRN—the same group behind Battle Hub threats like Shin Bison and Shin Akuma. Their mission seems to involve stopping M. Bison and developing countermeasures against Psycho Power.

Viper’s role? Testing SiRN tech on unsuspecting avatars in World Tour mode. As the agency’s Research Director, she doesn’t hesitate to get her hands dirty, even going toe-to-toe with a virtual clone of the dictator. Whether her actions serve the world or lead to ruin remains unclear, but the setting already feels suspiciously familiar.

Viper’s classic toolkit is back—taser gloves, seismic gauntlets, and jet-powered kicks. Her rushdown game could thrive under SF6’s Drive mechanics, but her exact kit remains unknown. Her updated look keeps her superiority complex intact with a slick new hairstyle and boots. Will we finally see her infamous Glock as a projectile? If Street Fighter EX’s Sharon could do it, why not?

C. Viper is the second Year 3 DLC character revealed for Street Fighter VI. Sagat will officially kick things off, followed by Alex and Ingrid later this year.

Street Fighter VI is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
