The first half of September already saw the long awaited release of Hollow Knight Silksong and with it being a Day one launch title for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers its going to be hard for anything in the second half of the month to top that. So, instead, we get the return of another Game of the Year worthy title in Supergiant Games Hades. Coming hot off the recent news that its sequel Hades II officially goes into 1.0 status on September 25. Plus, there’s the Day one release of Endless Legend 2 on PC Game Pass and an underrated 2024 gem in Visions of Mana too.
Endless Legend 2 is a fantasy turn-based strategy game from Amplitude studios makers of Humankind. Similar to the first Endless Legend, the second game is of the 4X Strategy variety so those that love the genre should feel right at home here. The introduction of the Tidefall mechanic seeks to slowly reveal additional explorable areas to players over time so as to keep you playing longer. Not to mention, those Tidefall moments creates new advantages or disadvantages depending on how you’ve formatted turns up to that point. It seems Amplitude have taken all of the feedback they’ve received in the last decade since the first Endless Legend, so returning players have a lot to look forward to when the game becomes available for Xbox on PC, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on September 22.
