Bandai Namco and FromSoftware dropped a brand-new Elden Ring Nightreign infographic, and it is packed with stats about how everyone is tackling (and getting wrecked by) the expansion. There is info on Depth progression, the most popular Nightfarer skins, which gestures players spam the most, the bosses doing the most damage, and even how many times Tarnished have saved each other.
Here’s the data and of course, my personal feelings tossed in for a bit of fun.
Most Players Have Not Gone Deep Into the Night Yet
The first chart shows how far players have traveled into the Deep of Night, and honestly, the numbers make total sense. Most people are still hanging out in the early layers.
- Level 1: 37 percent
- Level 2: 33 percent
- Level 3: 20 percent
- Level 4: 7 percent
- Level 5: 3 percent

That’s wild that just 3% of players have hit the deepest level. I mean, that shouldn’t be expected as I’ve heard some really nasty things about night depth 5, and Nightreign is not shy about hitting you with some serious difficulty spikes. So, it would track that the later levels absolutely punish anyone who walks in unprepared.
Darkness Skins Are the Community Favorite
Panel two reveals which Nightfarer skins players are rocking the most, and the Darkness aesthetics are dominating.
- Recluse (Darkness): 11.2 million uses
- Duchess (Darkness): 10.3 million uses
- Executor (Darkness): 8.7 million uses
- Guardian (Guardian): 4.1 million uses

The Recluse taking the top spot is not surprising, though I do main that character, so I might be biased. The entire Darkness lineup looks incredible, and it feels like most of the community agrees. The Guardian is the only Dawn aligned skin to crack the list, and even then, it is way behind the three Darkness favorites.
Gestures We Are All Spamming
Of course, FromSoftware had to include gesture data. This community will toss out a gesture anytime it gets the chance, which of course, finally taking down a tough boss, barely making it through and rocking with the “Spread Out” gesture. I’d probably use gestures more if it wasn’t such a chore to do so.
- Golden Order Totality
- Spread Out
- Bravo
- Bow
- Patches’ Crouch
- Polite Bow
- Crossed Legs
- Jump for Joy
- Triumphant Delight
- It’s Raining
The Patches crouch showing up this high honestly says everything about Elden Ring players, doesn’t?

The Field Bosses Giving Everyone the Most Trouble
The next panel reveals which open world Nightreign bosses are dealing out the most deaths. If any of these have folded you in half, do not worry, you are in good company.
- Royal Carian Knight
- Draconic Tree Sentinel
- Erdtree Avatar
- Bell Bearing Hunter
- Pot Troll
- Black Blade Kindered
- Death Rite Bird
- Ulcerated Tree Spirit

The Royal Carian Knight being number one is wild. And the Ulcerated Tree Spirit is back on the list, continuing its long tradition of ruining lives since 2022.
Personally, I’d rank Darth Vader… I mean, Bell Bearing Hunter a bit higher, maybe number 2, just because. With the other bosses, you know to stay away, or they don’t appear until much later. But the Bell Bearing Hunter can appear on the map on day one, sometimes you’ll run smack into him, or you’ll see him under the castle and instantly nope the hell around. Most see a guy with a sword and think they can take him, only to leave piles of bodies on the ground.
Screw that guy!
1.2 Billion Player Rescues and Counting
The final panel highlights one of the craziest numbers. Across Nightreign, players have rescued each other more than 1.2 billion times.
That includes revives, co-op assists, and all the teamwork moments that make Elden Ring’s community feel alive. For a game that is best known for destroying people, it is pretty awesome seeing just how often players show up to help each other survive. Maybe even if doing so will cause the group to wipe. Sometimes people just help themselves by helping others.

Final Thoughts
These infographics do tell a lot about the game. Nightreign is still fresh, players are still learning the new systems, and this infographic shows just how massive the expansion already feels. People are experimenting with builds, working through the Deep of Night at their own pace, trying out new skins, and getting absolutely stomped by some of the most aggressive field bosses FromSoftware has ever made.
Of course, this is all due to the first DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign, the Forsaken Hollows, which is set to be released on December 4th, 2025. This new DLC will include a new location, called The Great Hollow, which is described as a place full of exotic ruins and temples, sacred towers denoting the remains of an ancient people; and crystals that exude a cursed, life-draining miasma.
Two new nightfarers will join the fight; the Scholar and the Undertaker. Recently Bandai Namco released some info about the Scholar, but we still are pretty much in the dark about the Undertaker, outside of that nightfarer using a faith/strength build. And with the good some the bad, as two new nightlords have also been added and they look like they’re ready to give us a hard time.
Oh, and those nightlords that kicked our asses before? Well, now they’ll be available as field bosses, so I can’t wait to run into one of them and see if my team can survive that encounter or not.
