Elden Ring Nightreign Duos Mode Patch Delayed to July 31 Due to Tsunami Warning

By Keith MitchellJuly 30, 2025
ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN _ Two Player Mode is coming

Today was supposed to mark the arrival of Patch 1.02 for Elden Ring Nightreign, which would have patched in the long-awaited Duos Mode. However, due to unforeseen natural circumstances, FromSoftware has delayed the update until tomorrow, July 31, 2025.

The decision comes in response to a tsunami warning issued after a powerful 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the east coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, sending tsunami waves toward Japan, Russia, and the west coast of North America, including Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.

Out of caution and respect for safety protocols, FromSoftware has chosen to postpone the release of the patch.

“Due to the tsunami warning following the earthquake near the Kamchatka Peninsula, we have decided to postpone the distribution of the ‘ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN’ Patch 1.02, which was scheduled for today to tomorrow, July 31 (Thursday) after 10:00 CEST | 1:00 PDT.”

Alongside the delay, the second cycle of the Everdark Sovereign rotation that was initially set to begin at 03:00 CEST / 6 PM PDT / 9 PM EDT on July 30, 2025, will now begin only after the patch has been successfully distributed.

I know this news isn’t what my fellow Elden Ring fans wanted to hear, but sometimes things happen, and earthquakes and tsunamis are no joke. People’s lives are more than a game, and it’s just one more day, and we’ve waited this long, right?

Elden Ring Nightreign is available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
