Meet the Raider, the Newest Character in Elden Ring Nightreign

By Keith MitchellApril 15, 2025
ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN _ Raider Character reveal

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment have unveiled the next Nightfarer, the playable character that will be available in Elden Ring Nightreign, the Raider. A stalwart force on the battlefield, the Raider brings unmatched strength.

Built to hold the line and lead the charge, the Raider excels at soaking up damage and returning it in kind, making them a formidable choice for players seeking a tough, front-line role in group play.

Do you like war stomps? You got it. I also like the one ability where the Raider can summon a massive column from the ground, allowing him and his team to scale it, to get out of harm’s way, and to set up some damaging attacks from above.

This character, is all for the Elden Ring fans who love carry massive weapons and smacking the shit out of foes, and taken those hits as well. It’s here; be happy. Rejoice. You were not forgotten.

With the reveal of the Raider, that brings the number of playable characters in Elden Ring Nightreign to six:

  • Duchess (melee)
  • Recluse (ranged)
  • Guardian (melee)
  • Wylder  (melee)
  • Iron Eye (ranged)
  • Raider (melee)

Fromsoftware stated that there would be eight characters available in the game, so that leaves two more to be revealed. Which could be that we’ll see at least one more ranged class, or possibly two more. Regardless, I’m looking to see what else gets announced and how soon.

Elden Ring Nightreign launches on May 30 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
