Duskfade Stands Out Even In A Packed Triple-i Initiative Showcase

By Scott AdamsApril 10, 2025
Key art of Duskfade. It has Zirian in his blue jacket grinding down a rail.

The Triple-i Initiative showcase was today, and it had a lot of good games show up, with my favorite title being Duskfade. Duskfade seems to be a game highly inspired by Ratchet and Clank as well as Kingdom Hearts. It has 3D platforming and action combat.

“Embark on an unforgettable adventure as Zirian, a young workshop apprentice, as he sets out to restore time itself in a world enshrouded by eternal night.“

Time seems to be a huge theme in this game, with a lot of homages to clocks or clock towers. You have clocktower chimes as part of the main weapon. Zirian seems to take some inspiration from Jim from Treasure Planet, as his color and design are very similar to Jim’s. The grinding, combat, and movement look extremely fluid. I am super excited to see how this game continues to shape up as we learn more about it.

Duskfade comes out in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
