Donkey Kong Bananza Is Dominating The Nintendo eShop

By Todd BlackAugust 6, 2025
Donkey Kong Bananza, Nintendo Music,

I’ve made it clear both here on The Outerhaven, my social media pages, and other places that I truly love Donkey Kong Bananza. In fact, my review gave it a perfect score! However, there are times when a great game gets fantastic reviews, but doesn’t sell as well as it should. Is DK’s latest title suffering that fate? By all accounts…no. In fact, due to it being the first true single-player exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2, it seems to be doing pretty well! Reports from other countries highlight its success, and now, the Nintendo eShop is weighing in on the matter, too.

As noted by Insider Stealth, Donkey Kong Bananza has been the top game on the eShop for 20 days straight!

Now, some trolls will say, as they did in the comments section above, that the “Switch 2 doesn’t have a lot of games, so they have to buy this.” First, don’t listen to people like them, okay? Second, people are buying it because it’s a GREAT GAME and deserves to be enjoyed. So, if you have a Switch 2 and haven’t gotten it yet…you should probably fix that.
