Did “Upgrade” Costs To Key Nintendo Switch 2 Titles Get Revealed?

Pay more to get more, right?

Super Mario Party Jamboree Review, Nintendo Switch 2

Among the many announcements that occurred during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct three weeks back was the reveal that certain OG Switch games would come to the new system in an “upgraded form.” Some titles, like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, would get upgraded graphics packs and framerate boosts. Others, like Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree, would be getting all-new content added on. If you already have the Switch versions, you need only pay for the upgrades to play them in full on Switch 2. The question since that announcement was about the cost of the upgrades.

Previously, it was confirmed that the Zelda upgrades would be $10, and now the UK Nintendo Store (as noted by Game Rant) is showing that the upgrade would cost 17 Euros, which is about $22 in the US. It’s worse in Australia, as it’s about $30 for them.

The pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but this does seem to be a good indicator of what to expect. No matter what, it’s up to you to decide if these Nintendo Switch 2 versions are for you. Just remember, the upgrades are basically DLC add-ons, so it’s not horribly overpriced…for now.
