Did The Xenoblade Chronicles Composer Just Tease Monolith Soft’s Next Game?

Please announce it soon!!!
By Todd BlackJuly 29, 2025
Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Monolith Soft

As a diehard fan of the Xenoblade Chronicles saga (having played every version, including having all four entries that were brought to the Nintendo Switch), I’m very eager to learn what developer Monolith Soft has in store for the Nintendo Switch 2. The team are masters of making the most out of what they have, and with the Switch 2…they’ll have a lot more to work with. However, as to what they are working on next…we don’t know. There have been hints, but nothing definitive has been announced yet.

However, on Twitter, composer Manami Kiyota decided to make a tease of her own, as she revealed that she’s working on music for her next gaming project…whatever that is:

I’m working on a new project together with wonderful creators from around the world. Please look forward to the official announcement!

Obviously, this doesn’t confirm Xenoblade Chronicles 4, or a spinoff like X, or even that it’s for a Monolith Soft title. However, when you look at her resume and the games she’s worked on, the vast majority are with that developer and series. Now if only we had a Nintendo Direct that could announce such an RPG…
