Devil May Cry Receives Second Anime Season

By Josh PiedraApril 11, 2025

While details may be scarce at the moment, it was confirmed that Netflix’s Devil May Cry anime series will be receiving a second season. There is no release date set for it just yet; however, Netflix’s Twitter account states that it is “coming soon.”

Devil May Cry

The first season got off to an impressive start, garnering 5.3 million views within its first three days. This allowed it to be placed in the Top 10 in 67 countries.

Netflix describes Devil May Cry as follows:

In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.
