Koei Tecmo Games revealed that there will be an updated version of Dead or Alive 6 forthcoming. Titled “Dead or Alive 6 Last Round”, the game will be updated for the current gen systems. The 2019 fighter will be coming back this year. This is probably the final and most definitive version of Dead Or Alive 6.
A new Photo Mode was revealed to be coming. The mode allows stills to be edited and saved with full model editing. Facial Expressions, sweat, dirt, and other features can be edited, too. Quality of life improvements are also added for the current gen for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Unfortunately, King of Fighters DLC characters will not be included. Mai and Kula will sit this one out. However, Nyotengu, Phase 4, Tamaki, Momiji and Rachel, bonus DLC will be available. There will be more costumes included, also. Sadly, there is no word of any tag-team features to be added as of yet. Tagging came to the game back in Dead or Alive 2 while it debuted on the 128-bit Dreamcast stage, giving the series its own personal edge. It was in nearly every main game since except for Dead Or Alive 6.
New characters might also be brought to Dead Or Alive 6 Last Round.
A new Dead Or Alive Forthcoming
There also is a new entry to the Dead Or Alive saga. With The New Virtua Fighter Project also in the works, the new Dead Or Alive game might be able to help with the 3D Fighting Game department that is ruled by Tekken 8 so far. Dead Or Alive and Virtua Fighter always feel like rivals, so this is quite the surprise.
In the teaser trailer, Ryu and Kasumi are going at it near the DOATEC building in the teaser trailer(in new duds, too). This seems to also celebrate the 30 years of the series. The title is in development for PlayStation 5. No other details have been revealed as of yet.
